"Flag Man" heading to DC | Community Spirit

LITTLE YORK, Ill.--Larry Eckhardt, also known to many as “The Flag Man” will be taking his flag show to our nation’s capital. The Flag Man of Little York, Illinois has been invited to set up his massive flag display in Washington D.C. He will be taking over 1,000 flags with him.Eckhardt is beloved in his community for his efforts in honoring fallen military soldier. The Flag man has traveled several hundreds of miles to attend military funerals and set up 2,000 flags along funeral procession routes. Eckhardt's has been doing this for the past seven years and has honored 81 fallen military heroes. He believes every fallen American service member should be welcomed home this way.

According to WRMJ, Eckhardt is leaving on Wednesday.
